Batho Pele Christian School is the Education Organisation of Vastfontein Community Transformation.

The school was Established in 2003, starting as a Creche it grew year on year, first into a primary school and in 2018 the Secondary School started developing.

The school is a community school with a vision to make Quality, Private, Christian Education available to children whose parents cannot afford it.

Rather than try and get as many learners into the school as possible, we aim to help a few well. We have big classrooms but restrict the number of learners per class to no more than 20. This enables us to work with each learner individually and deeply.

We have a holistic approach where we attend to each learner’s physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, economical and relational needs.

Our aim is not just to achieve a 100% matric pass rate, but also to develop employable young people and as many entrepreneurs as possible who can become good employers.

We realise that all learners are not academically strong and therefore we focus on each learners’ career path and possible employment or entrepreneurial / business outcomes. We do this by helping each learner dream a dream that suits their potential which we help develop while also teaching them self-leadership.

Through our efforts and influence we hope to help develop young people who become contributors to the economy instead of being consumers who live off social grants
